OTTI LAUDS VETERAN JOURNALIST AMUTA’S MEMOIR, LITERARY FEAT

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has commended veteran journalist and writer, Dr Chidi Amuta, for his memoir, Homage: Return to Familiar Places, describing the work as a significant literary contribution.

Otti gave the commendation during the presentation of the memoir, where he joined other dignitaries and members of the literary and media communities to celebrate Amuta’s career and body of work.

The governor highlighted Amuta’s contributions to journalism, public discourse and literature, noting his longstanding influence in Nigeria’s intellectual and media space.

He said the memoir provides an opportunity to reflect on Amuta’s experiences, encounters and observations throughout his career, while also documenting important aspects of Nigeria’s social and public life.

The event brought together personalities from the media, politics, academia and literary circles, who paid tribute to the veteran journalist and author.
