President Bola Tinubu is set to officially unveil the ₦2.4 trillion Abuja City Walk Project on Thursday, marking the commencement of one of Nigeria’s most ambitious urban development initiatives.
The proposed 250-hectare mixed-use district is expected to transform a section of the Federal Capital Territory into a modern commercial, residential, entertainment, and tourism hub designed to attract local and international investment.
According to project promoters, the Abuja City Walk will feature Africa’s tallest tower, Nigeria’s largest indoor arena, luxury hotels, shopping centres, office complexes, residential apartments, parks, cultural attractions, and other world-class facilities.
The development is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs during construction and operation while boosting tourism, real estate, and economic activities in the nation’s capital.
Government officials say the project aligns with the Federal Government’s vision of promoting infrastructure development, urban renewal, and private sector investment to stimulate economic growth.
The unveiling ceremony is expected to attract top government officials, investors, business leaders, diplomats, and other stakeholders from within and outside Nigeria.
Authorities expressed optimism that the project will position Abuja as a leading destination for investment, business, tourism, and modern urban living in Africa.
