New Jigawa CP lists seven priority areas

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Jigawa State, Haruna Alaba, has outlined seven key priority areas aimed at strengthening security and improving policing across the state.

Speaking on his agenda, the police chief emphasised the adoption of intelligence-led policing as a central strategy for tackling crime, noting that proactive information gathering will enhance the effectiveness of security operations.

He also highlighted the importance of community engagement, stressing that collaboration between the police and residents is essential for building trust and ensuring timely reporting of suspicious activities.

Other focus areas include crime prevention, rapid response to incidents, strengthening internal discipline within the force, improving personnel welfare and enhancing coordination with other security agencies.
