Lookman Scores as Atalanta Defeat AS Roma 2-1

Ademola Lookman was on the scoresheet as Atalanta secured a 2-1 victory over AS Roma in their Serie A encounter at the Gewiss Stadium on Monday.

Despite initial injury concerns, the Nigerian forward passed a late fitness test and was included in the starting XI. He wasted no time making an impact, netting the opener in the 9th minute after receiving a well-placed assist from Belgian teammate Charles De Ketelaere.

The goal marked Lookman’s 20th of the season across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side—a testament to his consistent form.

AS Roma responded in the 32nd minute through Bryan Cristante, leveling the score before halftime.

However, Atalanta regained the lead in the 76th minute, thanks to a decisive strike from Ibrahim Kakari, which ultimately sealed the win.
