The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has directed Air Tanzania to provide accommodation and refunds for passengers stranded in Lagos and Dar es Salaam following flight disruptions. The agency said travellers were left unattended after delays and cancellations on the Lagos–Dar es Salaam route.

NCAA reminded airlines operating in Nigeria that they must provide passenger care, including hotel accommodation, meals, and timely refunds when flights are disrupted.

The authority confirmed it has contacted Air Tanzania to ensure affected passengers are assisted and refunds processed promptly. Travellers were also urged to lodge complaints through NCAA’s consumer protection channels for follow-up.

NCAA reiterated its commitment to safeguarding passenger rights and warned that airlines failing to comply with regulations could face sanctions. The agency added it will continue monitoring airlines to ensure passengers receive the support they are entitled to.
