The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has called on residents and politicians to support Governor Hyacinth Alia’s re-election.

Omale made the appeal on Tuesday in Makurdi while praising former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Ambassador Terhemen Tarzoor, for declaring his support for Governor Alia’s second term.

He said Tarzoor’s endorsement showed that more people were appreciating the governor’s efforts in developing the state through projects in roads, health, education, and youth empowerment.

“Governor Alia has changed the face of governance in Benue with massive road construction, flood control, healthcare reforms, and empowerment programmes. That’s why more respected leaders like Ambassador Tarzoor are joining to build a better Benue,” Omale said.

Tarzoor, who was once Nigeria’s Ambassador to Namibia and a former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he decided to support Alia because of the governor’s visible achievements.

He said, “I am happy to see that the same dreams I had for Benue years ago are now being fulfilled under Governor Alia. His sincerity and commitment are giving our people renewed hope and happiness.”

Omale praised Tarzoor’s decision and said it was proof that Governor Alia’s performance was winning the hearts of even opposition members.

He also urged other Benue leaders to follow Tarzoor’s example and join hands with the governor to move the state forward.
