Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially clinched the Accord Party’s ticket for the 2026 governorship election, following a smooth affirmation process by party delegates during a special congress held on Tuesday.

Party leaders described Adeleke’s emergence as a strategic move aimed at strengthening their chances in the upcoming election. They praised his administrative record and argued that his governance style aligns with the party’s vision for inclusive development.

In his acceptance speech, Adeleke expressed gratitude to stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to focus on expanding ongoing reforms, improving state finances, and accelerating infrastructural development if re-elected.

He also appealed for unity among party members, stressing that cooperation and discipline would be essential as the state approaches the election season.
