The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has ordered the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) to immediately address the technical hitches affecting the ongoing recruitment exercise for the nation’s paramilitary agencies.
Tunji-Ojo gave the directive following mounting complaints from applicants who said they had been unable to verify their application status weeks after completing various recruitment stages.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, the minister attributed the delays to the ongoing upload of applicants’ data and instructed the CDCFIB to complete the process without further delay.
The CDCFIB had earlier announced that applicants could begin checking their recruitment status from Friday. However, many users reported glitches on the portal, with some noting that the site failed to load or displayed job categories different from the ones they applied for.
Several applicants also shared screenshots of error messages or mismatched information on social media, expressing frustration over the portal’s performance and the slow pace of updates.
