Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on residents to remain vigilant and security conscious during the yuletide season to ensure a peaceful celebration across the state.

The governor made the call on Sunday while speaking at the Christmas carol and service of nine lessons organised by the Ogun State Government at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Abiodun said Christmas goes beyond the celebration of faith, noting that it is a period that reminds people of the values of love, humility and service to humanity, which he urged residents to uphold at all times.

He also conveyed the Christmas message of President Bola Tinubu to Nigerians, urging citizens to embrace unity, compassion and a sense of shared responsibility for national growth and peaceful coexistence.

The governor reassured residents of his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while encouraging them to cooperate with security agencies and look out for one another throughout the festive period.
