YARI ACCEPTS APPOINTMENT AS APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN DG

Senator Abdulaziz Yari has accepted his appointment as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.
Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State, is expected to play a key role in coordinating the party’s campaign activities and mobilisation ahead of the presidential election.
Accepting the responsibility, Yari pledged to work with APC leaders, stakeholders and members across the country to strengthen the party’s campaign structure and mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He is expected to draw on his political experience and nationwide networks as the APC intensifies preparations for the 2027 election.
The appointment comes as political parties begin strengthening their structures and expanding grassroots mobilisation ahead of what is expected to be a highly competitive presidential contest.
Yari is expected to work closely with other party leaders to develop campaign strategies, coordinate mobilisation and communicate the administration’s achievements and policies to voters.
The APC is also expected to intensify its engagement with supporters and stakeholders across the states as preparations for the election gather momentum.
With the 2027 election approaching, Yari’s acceptance of the role signals the party’s intention to begin building a coordinated campaign structure early.
