EL-RUFAI CASE GOES GLOBAL: PRO-EL-RUFAI GROUP HIRES US LOBBYING FIRM
A group supporting former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has reportedly engaged a United States-based lobbying firm to campaign against what it describes as violations of due process in matters relating to the former governor.
The group said the move is aimed at drawing international attention to concerns over fairness, justice, and the rule of law in the handling of El-Rufai’s case.
According to reports, the lobbying effort will be coordinated through Vanguard Africa, a Washington-based firm known for advocacy and policy engagement on African issues.
Supporters of the former governor argue that legal and political processes must be conducted transparently and in accordance with established constitutional principles.
The development adds an international dimension to the controversy surrounding El-Rufai, with observers closely monitoring the implications of foreign advocacy efforts on domestic political and legal matters.
Critics, however, maintain that Nigerian institutions should be allowed to handle internal matters independently without external influence.
