ALLI PROMISES ₦10BN YOUTH FUND, ₦150BN OYO IGR
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Alli, has promised to establish a ₦10 billion youth development fund and increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to ₦150 billion annually if elected in 2027.
Alli said the proposed youth fund would support young people through entrepreneurship, business development and other opportunities aimed at improving their economic prospects.
He also pledged to strengthen the state’s revenue base, with a focus on expanding economic activities and improving revenue generation without placing unnecessary pressure on residents and businesses.
The promises form part of his campaign agenda ahead of the 2027 governorship election, as political parties and candidates begin presenting their plans to voters.
However, the proposals remain campaign commitments, and their implementation would depend on Alli winning the election and securing the necessary resources and legislative support.
