ANAMBRA WILL VOTE TINUBU, APC IN 2027, SAYS EKWUNIFE

Senator Uche Ekwunife has declared that she and her supporters are committed to supporting President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election.

Ekwunife said the political support she commands in Anambra State would be mobilised behind Tinubu’s re-election bid and the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.

Her comments come amid growing political realignments in the South-East ahead of the presidential election, with different political actors and groups declaring their preferred candidates.

The position also comes against the backdrop of statements from other political leaders in the South-East backing Tinubu. In July, the South-East Governors’ Forum said the governors had resolved to support Tinubu’s re-election, citing federal development projects in the region.

Ekwunife’s declaration adds to the ongoing political activities and mobilisation across Anambra and the wider South-East as parties and political groups prepare for the 2027 elections.
