N100,000 INVESTMENT COULD MAKE INVESTORS MILLIONAIRES IN TWO YEARS — DANGOTE
President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has said investors who buy shares in Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals could potentially become millionaires within one or two years if the company’s share price rises significantly.
Dangote made the statement in an interview with Arise TV while discussing the refinery’s initial public offering (IPO) on the Nigerian Exchange.
The shares are being offered at N525 each, while Dangote said the price could eventually rise to between N5,000 and N10,000, depending on market conditions.
Asked whether he expected the shares to reach about N10,000, Dangote responded that it was possible, citing examples of stocks that had recorded significant increases after listing.
He said an investor who puts N100,000 into the shares could potentially become a millionaire within one or two years if the share price performs as anticipated.
Dangote also urged investors to hold their shares for the long term rather than selling prematurely, saying shareholders could benefit from dividends.
He further said dollar-denominated dividends could help protect investors against the impact of naira depreciation.
The refinery’s N2.15 trillion IPO comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares offered at N525 per share. The minimum subscription is 10 shares, valued at N5,250.
The offer opened on September 14, 2026, and is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026, subject to the terms contained in the prospectus.
Dangote described the IPO as an opportunity for Nigerians and other eligible investors to become part-owners of the refinery, while indicating that the Dangote Group plans to list more of its operating companies in the future.
The refinery’s IPO is now open to retail, institutional and eligible African investors, with the final returns depending on the company’s performance and movements in its share price.
