JIGAWA CP PRESENTS N25.9M TO FAMILIES OF FALLEN OFFICERS

The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police has presented cheques worth over N25.9 million to 25 families of police officers who died while serving the country.

The presentation was made as part of efforts to support the families of officers who lost their lives in active service.

The beneficiaries, comprising families of 25 deceased police officers, received the financial assistance through the Nigeria Police Force’s welfare and support initiatives.

The Commissioner of Police commended the fallen officers for their service and sacrifice, while assuring their families of the continued support of the police authorities.

He said the welfare of families of officers who died in the line of duty remains important to the force.

The financial assistance is expected to provide some relief to the affected families as the police continue to honour officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the course of their duties.
