YOBE RECORDS ZERO PILGRIM ABSCONDMENT IN 2026 HAJJ — BUNI
Yobe State recorded zero cases of pilgrim abscondment during the 2026 Hajj, Governor Mai Mala Buni has announced.
Buni attributed the achievement to effective planning, coordination and monitoring by the state authorities and officials responsible for the welfare of the pilgrims.
The governor said the outcome reflected the commitment of the state government and relevant agencies to ensuring that Yobe pilgrims were properly guided and supported throughout the pilgrimage.
He commended officials involved in the exercise for their efforts in maintaining effective coordination and ensuring the safety and welfare of the pilgrims.
The 2026 Hajj exercise has now been completed, with the Yobe Government describing the zero-abscondment record as a significant achievement for the state.
