Former member of the House of Representatives, Aminu Danmaliki, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), citing his commitment to principle and good governance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Danmaliki said his decision was driven by the need to align with a political platform that reflects his values and vision for the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
He explained that his move was not based on personal ambition or political convenience but on the desire to contribute meaningfully to a system that prioritises the welfare of the people.
The former lawmaker expressed confidence that the PRP offers a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking accountable leadership, transparency, and inclusive governance.
He called on his supporters and other well-meaning citizens to join him in strengthening the party and promoting issue-based politics ahead of the next election cycle.
Danmaliki also urged political leaders to place national interest above personal or partisan considerations, stressing that unity and responsible leadership are essential for Nigeria’s progress.
The PRP welcomed the former lawmaker into its fold, describing his defection as a boost to the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections and its efforts to expand its presence across the country.
