SOWORE VOWS WORLD CUP QUALIFICATION UNDER HIS PRESIDENCY

Omoyele Sowore has promised that Nigeria will qualify for every FIFA World Cup during his presidency if elected.
The presidential candidate said his administration would transform Nigeria into a major global sports hub, with greater investment in football and other sporting disciplines.
Sowore said sports development would be treated as an important part of national development, with attention given to infrastructure, talent development and opportunities for young Nigerians.
He also expressed confidence that better organisation and investment could help Nigeria consistently compete at the highest level of international football.
His promise comes as political parties and presidential candidates begin outlining their plans ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sowore is seeking to present his candidacy as an alternative to the established political parties, with sports and youth development among the areas he says would receive greater attention under his leadership.
The pledge to qualify for every World Cup has already generated discussion among football fans, particularly following Nigeria’s recent struggles to secure qualification for major international tournaments.
Sowore said his administration would work to restore Nigeria’s status as a leading sporting nation and create an environment where young talents can develop and compete globally.
