SHETTIMA BANS CONGRATULATORY ADS ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Vice President Kashim Shettima has directed individuals, groups and organisations to refrain from placing congratulatory advertisements in newspapers and other media platforms to mark his birthday.
The directive is aimed at discouraging the use of public funds and resources on celebratory advertisements and messages.
Shettima said he would prefer that his birthday be marked quietly rather than through expensive media publicity.
The Vice President also expressed appreciation to Nigerians, supporters and well-wishers for their goodwill and prayers, urging them to respect his wishes.
The development comes amid growing calls for public officials to promote prudence and responsible use of resources, particularly at a time when many Nigerians are facing economic challenges.
Shettima’s decision is expected to reduce the usual wave of birthday congratulatory adverts placed by political associates, government officials and organisations.
The Vice President thanked Nigerians for their continued support and goodwill.
