ANAMBRA APPROVES ₦640M PROJECTS, UNVEILS REFORMS TO FIGHT EROSION
The Anambra State Government has approved projects worth ₦640 million as part of a broader strategy to address erosion, improve public infrastructure, and enhance service delivery across key sectors.
The approvals were announced following a State Executive Council meeting, where officials outlined measures aimed at tackling environmental challenges, strengthening education, and improving healthcare services.
According to the government, a significant portion of the funds will be directed toward erosion control and environmental management projects, as the state continues efforts to combat the devastating effects of gully erosion in several communities.
The administration also approved initiatives designed to improve learning conditions in schools, expand access to quality education, and support ongoing reforms in the sector.
In the healthcare sector, the government said new measures would focus on upgrading facilities, improving service delivery, and enhancing access to medical care for residents.
Officials noted that the projects align with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s development agenda, which prioritises infrastructure renewal, environmental sustainability, human capital development, and economic growth.
The government expressed confidence that the approved projects and reforms would have a positive impact on communities while contributing to the state’s long-term development goals.
