The Federal Government has called on state governments and private school owners to enrol in the Digitalised Nigeria Education Management Information System (DNEMIS) to strengthen education planning and policy implementation nationwide.
The government said the platform is designed to provide accurate, up-to-date data on schools, teachers, students, and educational facilities to support evidence-based decision-making.
According to officials, comprehensive participation by states and private institutions will improve resource allocation, policy formulation, budgeting, and the overall management of Nigeria’s education sector.
The Federal Government stressed that reliable education data is essential for addressing challenges such as school enrolment, infrastructure deficits, teacher deployment, and learning outcomes.
It also noted that the database will enhance transparency, improve monitoring and evaluation, and support efforts to achieve quality education across the country.
States and private schools were encouraged to register and submit accurate information to ensure the success of the initiative and contribute to the development of a more efficient education system.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging digital technology to improve education governance and deliver better outcomes for learners nationwide.
