Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said Nigerians are yet to witness the full impact of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, despite what he described as notable achievements recorded by the current administration amid economic challenges.
Akpabio made the remarks during the 8th All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention held in Abuja, where party leaders and stakeholders gathered to deliberate on the party’s direction ahead of future elections.
According to him, the President’s vision and policy direction are gradually steering Nigeria toward a new phase of growth, stability and global relevance. He acknowledged that while the country is facing economic difficulties, ongoing reforms are laying the foundation for long-term development.
The Senate President also commended the administration’s efforts in areas such as infrastructure development, economic restructuring and governance reforms, expressing confidence that the outcomes would become more visible with time.
He urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive, emphasising that transformative policies often require time to yield results. Akpabio also called on party members to stay united and focused on consolidating the gains of the administration.
Political observers say the remarks reflect continued support from key government officials as the administration navigates economic pressures and public expectations.
