Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Defeating Terrorism, Banditry
President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to finding lasting solutions to terrorism and banditry across the country.
The President made the remarks on Monday during his opening address at the ongoing National Executive Council (NEC) conference on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable National Development held in Abuja.
Tinubu said tackling insecurity remains a top priority of his government, stressing that peace and stability are critical to economic growth, national unity, and sustainable development. According to him, no meaningful progress can be achieved without addressing the security challenges confronting the nation.
He assured council members and stakeholders that his administration is adopting a coordinated approach that combines security operations, intelligence gathering, economic reforms, and social interventions to dismantle criminal networks and address the root causes of violence.
The President also emphasized the importance of collaboration among federal, state, and local governments, as well as the private sector and civil society, in restoring peace and accelerating development.
The NEC conference, which brings together top government officials and key stakeholders, is expected to deliberate on strategies for inclusive economic growth, security, and long-term national development.
