The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as the most Christian-friendly government since the creation of Nigeria.

Akpabio made the remark while speaking at a gathering of Christian leaders, where he highlighted what he described as the Tinubu administration’s inclusive approach to governance and respect for religious diversity.

According to the Senate President, President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated fairness and openness to Christians through key appointments, policies, and engagement with faith-based institutions, despite concerns raised during the 2023 election over religious balance.

Akpabio said the administration has ensured that Christians are adequately represented in government and decision-making positions, stressing that Tinubu believes in unity and equality irrespective of religious affiliation.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proven to be the most Christian-friendly president Nigeria has ever had. His actions since assuming office clearly show that he governs for all Nigerians without discrimination,” Akpabio said.

He urged Christians across the country to judge the administration by its actions rather than political narratives, noting that governance should be assessed based on inclusion, fairness, and performance.

The Senate President also called for continued prayers and support for the Tinubu-led government, saying national unity and stability remain critical at a time when the country is grappling with economic and security challenges.

Akpabio’s comments come amid ongoing debates over religion, governance, and inclusiveness in Nigeria’s political space, particularly following the Muslim-Muslim ticket that produced the current administration.
