We’ll raise money to fund Tinubu’s re-election – Northern youth group
The Northern Nigeria Youth Leaders’ Forum (NNYLF) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, pledging to mobilise resources and raise funds to support his re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made the declaration in a statement on Monday, where it said the decision followed extensive consultations among youth leaders across the northern states. According to the forum, President Tinubu’s policies and reforms are beginning to yield results, particularly in areas of infrastructure development, economic restructuring, and youth empowerment.
NNYLF said it would embark on grassroots mobilisation across the North to galvanise support for the president, adding that part of its strategy includes fundraising to contribute to the campaign logistics and voter engagement efforts.
“Our endorsement is based on our assessment of the administration’s commitment to national unity and inclusive governance. We are ready to support the president financially and politically to ensure continuity in 2027,” the statement said.
The forum also urged other youth groups and stakeholders in the region to rally behind the president, stressing that sustained support would help consolidate ongoing reforms and promote stability.
The endorsement adds to a growing list of political groups and organisations publicly declaring support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid, even as the 2027 elections draw closer.
