Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has praised the resilience and enduring spirit of Nigerians, describing their strength in the face of economic and social challenges as a powerful force holding the nation together.
In her New Year message to mark the beginning of 2026, Mrs Tinubu commended citizens for their patience, courage, and determination despite the hardships of recent years. She noted that Nigerians have continued to show remarkable resilience, even as many grapple with rising living costs, insecurity, and economic uncertainty.
According to the First Lady, the ability of Nigerians to remain hopeful and united in difficult times reflects the country’s deep-rooted spirit of perseverance.
