Presidency Denies Rumour of Gbajabiamila’s Replacement as Chief of Staff
The Presidency has dismissed reports claiming that President Bola Tinubu plans to sack his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and replace him with the Principal Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.
Presidency sources described the report as false and misleading, stressing that there is no plan to remove Gbajabiamila from office. Officials said the Chief of Staff continues to enjoy the full confidence of President Tinubu and remains central to the administration’s coordination and policy execution.
They added that Muri-Okunola’s role as Principal Private Secretary remains unchanged and that recent speculation is the result of misinterpretation of routine administrative engagements within the Presidency.
The Presidency urged the public to disregard unverified claims and rely on official statements for accurate information.
