Polaris Bank has stepped up efforts to promote menstrual hygiene among young girls in Lagos, reaching female students with health education and essential sanitary materials to support their wellbeing and confidence.

The initiative, carried out as part of the bankโ€™s corporate social responsibility programme, focused on educating students about personal hygiene, menstrual health management and self-care. Beneficiaries were also provided with sanitary products aimed at reducing absenteeism linked to poor access to menstrual hygiene resources.

Speaking during the outreach, representatives of Polaris Bank said the programme reflects the institutionโ€™s commitment to empowering young girls and supporting inclusive development. They noted that proper hygiene education is critical to building confidence, improving school attendance and enabling girls to reach their full potential.

School administrators and students welcomed the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful. Many beneficiaries said the session helped address long-standing misconceptions about menstrual health while providing practical support that would positively influence their daily lives.

Polaris Bank reaffirmed its pledge to continue supporting initiatives that promote education, health and gender equality across communities in Nigeria.
