Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has called on Nigerians to prioritise unity,
peace, and mutual understanding, saying these are essential foundations for
the nationโs stability and long-term development.
Speaking during a public gathering in Gombe, Yahaya emphasised that Nigeriaโs diversity should be regarded as a strength rather than a barrier, urging citizens to embrace tolerance and coexistence.
He explained that peacebuilding efforts must remain a collective responsibility, noting that no meaningful progress can be achieved when communities are divided by ethnicity, religion, or political differences.
The governor added that his administration will continue to support initiatives that promote peaceful dialogue, social cohesion, and inclusive governance across the state.
Yahaya further urged leaders at all levels to champion unity-driven policies, stressing that a peaceful country is the only viable path to sustainable growth and national prosperity.
