The Ondo State “For Tinubu 2027 Elders Movement” has vowed to deliver no fewer than 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election, citing his commitment to national development and good governance.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure, the group’s chairman, Chief Olu Fadeyi, said the elders across all 18 local government areas had begun grassroots mobilisation to ensure overwhelming support for the president’s re-election.

Fadeyi described Tinubu as a “transformational leader whose policies are gradually setting the nation on a path of sustainable growth,” adding that the group’s members would work with traditional rulers, youth associations, and market unions to ensure high voter turnout.

He also urged citizens to remain patient with the administration, assuring that ongoing reforms in the economy, power, and infrastructure sectors would soon yield tangible benefits.

According to him, the movement will launch a door-to-door campaign strategy before the end of the year to consolidate support ahead of the polls.
