Kano Orders New Political Appointees to Declare Assets

The Kano State Government has directed all newly appointed political office holders to immediately declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The directive was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim, during a Special Capacity Building Workshop for top government officials in Kaduna.
According to him, the measure aims to promote transparency, prevent conflicts of interest, and enhance good governance.
He stressed that asset declaration is both a legal obligation and a symbol of integrity and accountability, reflecting the commitment of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration to uphold high ethical standards in public service.
