Abiru Commissions Road Projects, Vows More Infrastructure in Lagos East

Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has unveiled a series of newly completed road projects across his constituency, earning praise from residents and community leaders.

 

According to a statement released on Thursday, the roads include Ojokoro Road (Agric), Nurudeen Owolabi, Alogba, Apena Jimbo, Jalajugbo, Ibu Owo, Agunfoye, Ojediran, and Andu/Oshikoya.

 

Locals welcomed the projects, describing them as long overdue and vital for easing movement and stimulating community development.

 

Speaking during an inspection tour, Senator Abiru reiterated his commitment to addressing infrastructure gaps across the 16 local government areas and local council development areas in Lagos East. He explained that the interventions were chosen after wide consultations with community leaders to identify priority needs.

 

“These roads are about easing the burden of residents, opening up communities for economic prosperity, and ensuring that our people enjoy the dignity of living in decent environments,” Abiru said. “I am encouraged by the positive feedback and even more determined to do more.”

 

He disclosed that contractors would soon move to additional sites, including Soji Oshodi/Mutairu/Okeme Street (Somolu/Bariga), Olulonyo-Ebuwawa Road (Ikorodu North), Utuh Street (Mile 12), Ondo Street (Ajegunle), Otolu-Ilagbo (Lekki), Rala/Oshokeji Street (Epe), GRA 2 Road, and Dagbolu Road, among others.

 

Abiru also revealed that second phases of Ojokoro Road and Agunfoye are in the pipeline, underscoring his resolve to sustain momentum in infrastructure delivery.
