President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of executive directors to the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) board.
The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen.
According to the statement, the newly appointed executive directors are:
Biliquis Sanni (Administration & Human Resources)
Aisha Ibrahim (Commercial and Industrial Development)
James Uloko (Corporate Services)
Muhammad Bashar (Finance)
Atika Ajanah (Projects)
“The directors will assist the commission in actualising its statutory mandate,” the statement added.
President Tinubu urged the appointees to work closely with the NCDC’s governing board in promoting and coordinating the sustainable development of the North-Central geopolitical zone.
The NCDC was established in February 2025 after the President signed the North Central Development Commission Bill into law. The commission is tasked with driving infrastructure development, addressing ecological challenges, and promoting economic growth across states in the North-Central region, which has faced challenges including insecurity, flooding, and developmental setbacks.
The NCDC’s jurisdiction covers Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau States, as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
