Remi Tinubu calls for united action to protect schools

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged collective efforts to safeguard schools and education across the country, stressing that protecting learning spaces is crucial to securing the nation’s future.

Mrs Tinubu, a former teacher, made the appeal on Tuesday in her message to mark the 2025 International Day to Protect Education from Attack, themed “Challenging Narratives, Reshaping Action.”

She described the theme as a call to move beyond rhetoric and embrace decisive measures that guarantee the safety of learners, teachers, and institutions nationwide.

“The theme calls us to move beyond words and take stronger action to safeguard education,” she said.

The First Lady warned that societies that fail to protect their schools risk undermining their own future, noting that education must never be compromised.
