Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Engr. Aderemi Oseni, has said President Bola Tinubu is committed to ensuring effective transportation through the provision of motorable roads across Nigeria.

Speaking at a media parley in Lagos on Thursday, Oseni commended the administration’s massive investment in road rehabilitation and reconstruction, stressing that the efforts would help recalibrate the nation’s economy and position Nigeria as a continental leader.

“As Chairman of the FERMA Committee, I have traversed the length and breadth of this country. There is no denying the fact that the present administration is doing a lot to lay a solid foundation for a new Nigeria that will show the way forward for the African continent,” Oseni said.

He further pledged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West would deliver nothing less than 10 million votes for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Oseni, however, criticised opposition parties for what he described as a deliberate attempt to downplay the progress being made in infrastructure development. He cautioned Nigerians not to be misled by what he termed “unprogressive antics” aimed at gaining political acceptability.

The lawmaker noted that his committee’s oversight functions had exposed him and his colleagues to numerous ongoing projects nationwide, reinforcing his conviction that the administration is on track to deliver a new and prosperous Nigeria.
