Police Arrest Two Suspected Car Thieves, Recover Three Vehicles in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested two suspected car thieves and recovered three stolen vehicles during separate operations in the state.
Police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Tuesday, explaining that the success was achieved through intelligence-led operations. He added that the effort reflects the command’s determination to tackle car theft and protect residents.
One of the cases involved a female resident of Badawa Quarters, who reported on August 18 that her Hyundai Elantra (2011 model, ash colour) had been stolen outside North Field Montessori Academy, Nasarawa GRA, Kano. After investigations, police traced the vehicle to Zaria, Kaduna State, and recovered it on August 23.
In another report, a man identified as Moses from Sabon Gari Quarters said his Pontiac Vibe (2006 model, ash colour, registration number ABJ 739 JK) was stolen on August 5.
Police said investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court after the completion of the case.
