Police Assure Safety Ahead of Anambra Bye-Elections

The Anambra State Police Command says it has secured flashpoint areas to guarantee safety before, during, and after Saturday’s bye-elections.
The elections will hold in Anambra South Senatorial District to elect a senator, and in Onitsha North 1 constituency for a state House of Assembly seat.
Police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga said in a statement that the reinforcement is aimed at strengthening existing security measures to ensure a peaceful, hitch-free, and credible process.
According to him, personnel and operational assets have been massively deployed across sensitive locations and identified flashpoints across the state.
