APC GROUP WRITES MBAH, URGES ENUGU GOVERNOR TO DUMP PDP

A forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 House of Assembly candidates in Enugu State has appealed to Governor Peter Mbah to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the APC.
In a letter to the governor dated August 11 and made available on Monday, the group’s coordinator, Mr. Godwin Onwusi — who contested for the Udi North State Constituency seat in the last election — argued that playing opposition had done them more harm than good.
He maintained that Enugu State would benefit more from the programmes of President Bola Tinubu’s administration if Mbah joined the APC.
In the letter titled “Request/Appeal for You to Hook Enugu State to the National Grid of Politics by Joining Our Great Party, the All Progressives Congress,” the group stated that Mbah’s membership would strengthen the APC’s chances of winning future elections in the state and make it easier to attract federal benefits.
“With all humility and respect, we, the undersigned APC, Enugu State, House of Assembly candidates during the 2023 general elections hereby appeal to you to favourably consider joining our great party, the All Progressives Congress,” the letter read in part.
“Having watched you for just a little over two years, since you assumed office as the Governor of Enugu State, we have come to the conclusion that your visionary leadership and development-oriented policies align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
