151 Senior Police Officers Under Investigation – NPF

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that 151 senior officers are currently under investigation for various allegations of misconduct and professional violations.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the officers — all from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police and above — are being investigated by the Force Disciplinary Committee.
The disciplinary sessions, which commenced on Monday, July 14, are being held at the IGP Smart Conference Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and are expected to continue until Friday, July 25.
Adejobi said the initiative reflects the Force’s commitment to internal accountability and professional ethics. “The affected officers, drawn from various commands nationwide, are undergoing a thorough and transparent review in line with police regulations,” he stated.
He emphasized the role of the Force Disciplinary Committee as a critical mechanism for addressing alleged breaches of conduct, misconduct, and ethical violations among police personnel.
