There is growing tension in the Senate as suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, announced plans to attend plenary today, following a Federal High Court ruling that nullified her six-month suspension.

In a viral video, Akpoti-Uduaghan thanked her supporters and confirmed she would resume legislative duties on Tuesday, expressing gratitude for their steadfastness after the favourable judgment.

Despite this, the Senate leadership has decided not to act officially until it finishes reviewing the Certified True Copy of the court’s decision. The court ruled the suspension as excessive, unconstitutional, and a violation of the rights of her constituents, ordering her immediate reinstatement.
