Didn’t Retire, I Took a Break” – Timaya

Nigerian singer Inetimi Alfred Odon, better known as Timaya, has clarified that he has not retired from music, but is only taking a short break.
Posting on his X handle, Timaya wrote:
> “No be say the boy retire, the boy just been dey sleep….”
Timaya launched his solo career in 2005 with his debut single “Dem Mama,” a song that reflected on the Odi massacre in Bayelsa State. His first album, “True Story,” released in 2006, brought him national recognition.
Over a two-decade career, Timaya has released eight albums, one EP, and numerous singles. He has also collaborated with international artists like Sean Paul and Morgan Heritage.
