Police Investigate Mysterious Death of Woman in Abuja Hotel
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a young woman, Aladi Johnson—popularly known as Tessy—who was found unconscious with her hands tied behind her in a hotel room in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja.
The incident, which gained attention after a video went viral on social media, has sparked public outrage and concern over hotel security and personal safety.
According to FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, Tessy had checked into the hotel on 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa, on Tuesday, June 16, 2025, accompanied by an unidentified man. Hotel staff later observed the man leaving the premises alone.
During a routine check, hotel workers discovered Tessy unconscious and immediately contacted the police.
