LAUTECH: Education Will Continue To Be Our Priority In Oyo – Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has promised to continue to ensure priority for education in the State.

 

He said this on Tuesday at the grand finale of the 16th Convocation ceremonies of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

 

Represented by the State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Professor Soliu Adelabu, the governor said he recognized the immense contribution of the Governing Council of the Institution under Professor Ayodeji Omole while promising to pay attention to making the people happy.

 

Highlights of the events included Awards of Postgraduate Diplomas and higher degrees, while it climaxed with the award of two Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Civil Law and Technology respectively, to Alhaji Ahmed Adeniyi Raji (SAN), and Engr. Yinka Ayoola Ajao.

 

Dignitaries at the day’s event included: Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Raji, Chairman, Governing Council of LAUTECH, Professor Ayodeji Omole and other members of the Council; former Chairman, of Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Adeolu Akande, and former Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Olarewaju Nassar.
