Naira abuse: ‘Ask Bob for update’ – EFCC issues veiled threat to culprits
The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has issued a veiled threat to Nigerians who abuse naira notes.
The anti-graft agency in its warning said if preaching will not drive home the message, conviction will.
It further asked those in doubt to get ‘update to use’ from convicted controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.

The statement comes after a court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment for abusing the naira.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro handed down the six-month sentence without the option of a fine.
In a post on its official X handle on Friday, EFCC said those who refused to stop abusing naira will not have an excuse when the agency comes knocking at the door.
“Say No To Abuse of the Naira. If preaching will not send the message, conviction will,” EFCC wrote on X.
