Aston Villa Vs Tottenham: Starting XIs For 2023/2024 EPL Clash
Unai Emery has fielded five defenders in his Aston Villa line-up today against Tottenham.
Matty Cash is the one you look at and think could either be playing in a right midfielder role or as a wing-back.
If Emery were to go to a back five, we’d expect Lucas Digne to play as the other wing-back.
That would leave Pau Torres, Clement Lenglet and Ezri Konsa as the central defenders.

Opta intially had Cash as wing-back in a back five but have now changed it to a 4-4-2, as you can see below.
Pedro Porro starts for Tottenham as Ange Postecoglou makes three changes to his side that beat Crystal Palace last weekend.
Porro starts his first game for a month following a muscle injury while Brennan Johnson and Pape Matar Sarr also come in.
Emerson Royal, Rodrigo Bentancur and Timo Werner drop to the bench.
Tottenham: Vicario, Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie, Bissouma, Sarr, Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson, Son.
Subs: Austin, Hojbjerg, Dragusin, Royal, Werner, Lo Celso, Bentancur, Davies, Scarlett.
