WE CAN’T PRETEND ANYMORE, 2BABA CRIES OUT OVER BENUE KILLINGS

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has condemned the recent killings in Benue State, saying the continued violence has reached an unacceptable level and demands urgent action.
Reacting to the attacks in Otukpo and other affected communities, the Benue-born singer expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives, insisting that Nigerians can no longer remain silent while innocent people continue to be killed.
“We can’t pretend anymore,” 2Baba said, calling on government at all levels, security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to work together to find lasting solutions to the persistent insecurity in the state.
The award-winning artiste urged authorities to intensify efforts to protect lives and property, stressing that every Nigerian deserves to live in peace and safety regardless of their location.
He also appealed to citizens to promote unity, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence, warning that violence and reprisals would only worsen the situation.
2Baba extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attacks.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for peace and justice, urging all stakeholders to take decisive steps to end the bloodshed and restore lasting peace to Benue State.
