KATSINA GOV COMBATS FOOD INSECURITY WITH 90,000-BAG GRAIN RELIEF
Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has flagged off the distribution of 90,000 bags of grains to vulnerable households across the state as part of efforts to tackle food insecurity and cushion the impact of rising living costs.
The intervention is aimed at supporting vulnerable families and ensuring that residents have access to essential food supplies during the current economic challenges.
The state government said the grain distribution is targeted at households most affected by food insecurity, with the initiative expected to provide immediate relief to beneficiaries.
Governor Radda emphasised the importance of strengthening food security and supporting vulnerable residents, particularly families facing difficulties in meeting their basic needs.
The intervention is also part of broader measures by the Katsina State Government to reduce the impact of economic hardship on residents and improve their welfare.
Officials involved in the distribution were directed to ensure that the grains reach the intended beneficiaries and that the exercise is carried out transparently.
The governor’s administration has continued to highlight food security, agriculture and social welfare as key areas of its development agenda.
The distribution of the 90,000 bags is expected to provide relief to thousands of households across Katsina State while complementing other government initiatives aimed at improving food production and supporting vulnerable communities.
