TINUBU TO UNVEIL BOOK CHRONICLING OLANIPEKUN’S LEGAL CAREER
President Bola Tinubu is set to unveil a six-volume publication documenting the landmark cases and five-decade legal career of renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Wole Olanipekun.
Titled Wole Olanipekun Through the Cases, the publication will be unveiled on November 19, 2026, during the WOC Justice Summit, an initiative of Wole Olanipekun & Co. The event will take place a day after the senior lawyer’s 75th birthday.
The six-volume work examines significant cases handled by Olanipekun and his contributions to the development of Nigerian law and jurisprudence. It features commentaries from retired judges, legal scholars, Senior Advocates of Nigeria and other legal practitioners.
The publication also carries forewords by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi.
Olanipekun was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1976 and became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1991. Over the years, he has handled several major constitutional and electoral cases, including legal challenges involving successive Nigerian presidents.
The summit is expected to bring together leading figures from the legal, political, economic and commercial sectors to discuss justice, democracy and public trust.
