DON’T SERVE APC, SERVE NIGERIA — ADC TELLS INEC
The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to remain neutral and serve the interests of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC made the call in reaction to INEC’s recent World Press Conference, warning the electoral body against allegedly favouring the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The council’s Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the credibility of the 2027 elections would depend on INEC maintaining its independence and treating all political parties fairly.
He also stressed the need for Nigerians who register to vote to be able to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the elections.
The ADC said its presidential candidate remained prepared for the election, provided INEC guarantees a free, fair and credible electoral process.
The party urged the commission to focus on its constitutional responsibility and ensure that every eligible voter and political party is treated equally.
