OSUN PEOPLE WON’T BOW TO INTIMIDATION, SAYS ADELEKE

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared that the people of the state will not succumb to intimidation ahead of the August 15 governorship election, urging residents to remain peaceful and confident in the democratic process.
The governor said every eligible voter has the constitutional right to participate freely in the election without fear, harassment, or coercion from any individual or group.
Adeleke’s remarks come amid heightened political tension and recent developments in the state, with the governor calling on security agencies to remain professional and impartial in carrying out their responsibilities.
He urged political parties and their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid actions capable of disrupting the electoral process or threatening public order.
According to Adeleke, the will of the people must prevail through a free, fair, and credible election, stressing that democracy can only thrive when voters are allowed to make their choices without interference.
The governor also appealed to residents to remain law-abiding, reject violence, and cooperate with security agencies to ensure a peaceful atmosphere before, during, and after the election.
Adeleke reaffirmed his confidence in the people of Osun, expressing optimism that they would continue to defend their democratic rights through lawful and peaceful participation at the polls.
